Use the instructions below to easily customize your Media Shuttle portal. To learn more about portal customization, watch our Customizing Your Portal training video.

Customize Portal Naming


 Portal URL
  1. Log into your Media Shuttle Configuration Console (manage.mediashuttle.com)
  2. Select any of your portals or click Add Portal from the top right drop down menu.
  3. On the General page in the URL field, enter the URL prefix you want to use for the portal. This URL is  validated in real time, and a green check or red X appears is displayed indicating if it’s acceptable.
  4. Click Save changes.
 Portal Name
  1. Log into your Media Shuttle Configuration Console (manage.mediashuttle.com)
  2. Select any of your portals or click Add Portal from the top right drop down menu.
  3. On the General page in the Portal name field, enter the portal name.This name is displayed in email notifications members receive from the portal and in the title bar of the end-user interface.
  4. Click Save changes.

Customize Portal Look & Feel


 Shortcut Icon
  1. Log into the Media Shuttle Management Console (for example portalprefix.mediashuttle.com/admin).
  2. Click Site Design.
  3. In the Shortcut Icon section click Browse and select the icon (.ICO) file.
  4. Click Save Changes. The shortcut icon image is displayed in URL field of the end-user's browser window and in any desktop shortcut icons created for the portal.
   Logo
  1. Log into the Media Shuttle Management Console (for example portalprefix.mediashuttle.com/admin).
  2. Click Site Design.
  3. In the Logo section, click Browse and upload your logo. This logo is automatically analyzed to generate a default color-coordinated color scheme for your portal. The logo you upload here is also displayed on the Media Shuttle administration interface and in all notification emails sent from Media Shuttle.
  4. Click Save Changes.
 Background Image
  1. Log into the Media Shuttle Management Console (for example portalprefix.mediashuttle.com/admin).
  2. Click Site Design.
  3. In the Background section click Browse and locate the background image file. The background image must be a .JPG, .GIF or .PNG file and cannot exceed 1600 x 1280 pixels. If your image exceeds this size, it will be resized.
  4. Click Save Changes.

You can optionally choose to anchor your background image. Anchoring the image ensures it scales and displays correctly on the end-user upload and download pages. Enable Anchor and in the location selector, select the anchor location for your image. The selected location is indicated with an anchor logo and the arrows indicate how the image is scaled on the end-user upload and download pages.

 Transfer Box Color Scheme
  1. Log into the Media Shuttle Management Console (for example portalprefix.mediashuttle.com/admin).
  2. Click Site Design.
  3. In the Color Scheme section click the rectangle next to Portal Interface Panel, Portal Interface Text, Action Buttons, or Action Button Text and customize the color. When you choose a Logo, a default color scheme is automatically created based on the colors in the selected logo.
  4. If you know the RGB value, type the numbers in the appropriate fields. You can also select the small arrows and scroll to the correct number.
  5. If you know the HSB value, type the numbers in the appropriate fields. You can also select the small arrows and scroll to the correct number.
  6. If you know the Hex value, type the numbers in the # field.
  7. You can also choose a color using the slider control. Slide the vertical slider to select the color range, and then select an area in the left box to set a color intensity. The values for the chosen color will automatically update in the RGB, HSB and Hex value fields.
  8. Using the Portal Interface Transparency slider you can add a level of transparency to the Portal Interface Panel color. When set to 100% the background color is fully transparent and not visible.
  9. Click Save Changes.
 Screen Position
  1. Log into the Media Shuttle Management Console (for example portalprefix.mediashuttle.com/admin).
  2. Click Site Design.
  3. In the Screen Position section click the appropriate square on the tile. This controls where the login, upload, download, and transfer progress panels are displayed. The selected location is highlighted in blue.
  4. Click Save Changes.

Customize Portal Content

 
 Portal Language
  1. Log into the Media Shuttle Management Console (for example portalprefix.mediashuttle.com/admin).
  2. Click General.
  3. Select the portal language from the Language drop-down list. The language is used in the end-user interface and in all notification emails sent to end-users.
  4. Click Save Changes.
 Portal Footer
  1. Log into the Media Shuttle Management Console (for example portalprefix.mediashuttle.com/admin).
  2. Click General.
  3. To include a static message at the bottom of the end-user interface, type your message in the Footer field. The Footer is displayed on the upload, download and transfer pages.
  4. Click Save Changes.
